To Whom It May Concern:

I have known and worked with Leah Taylor for the past three years at International Fine Arts College (now known as Miami International University of Art and Design). During that time I have found her to be an energetic and motivated instructor. Her varied areas of interest play a major role in her ability to impart knowledge to students of all backgrounds and interests. Her vitality is a key element in her ability to motivate her students, and should be looked at as an intangible asset in consideration of her for your teaching position. Her ability to speak multiple languages is another added bonus, especially situations with students whose first language is not English. In all, I would say you could not find a more dynamic instructor.

Should you have any further questions concerning this candidate, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am easily reached during business hours at the number below.

Thank you,

Dear Sir or Madam,

It is my pleasure to recommend Leah Taylor as an instructor. She is a vivacious, energetic, hardworking teacher whose relaxed and open manner make her amenable to students and instructors alike.

Leah and I taught a class in storyboarding for the Computer Animation epartment. It was a stimulating and informative class that introduced students to the technical and artistic aspects of the storyboard.

I have known Leah for two years and during my association with her she has always been devoted to her students and their success. I highly recommend her as an instructor and I believe she will be an asset to your department and a dedicated member of the faculty.

Leah Solo Taylor is a former student of mine at the Santa
Monica College of Design, Art & Architecture. She is not
only a talented artist, but also as I understand it, she has
completed in depth studies in Western, Eastern and African
art history. Additionally, she is multilingual and in my
studio she has taken a multicultural approach in her work.
She has proven herself capable of working successfully in
a variety of media--painting, performance, installation and
drawing--and is a dynamic, caring and energetic member
of our community. I understand that she is applying for a
teaching position and though I have no experience with
her as a teacher, judging from her manner, her sincerity,
her experience and talent, I would strongly recommend
serious consideration of her proposal and application.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to
contact me.

Sincerely,

Anne Troutman

Pacifica Graduate Institute

To Whom It May Concern,

Leah Solo Taylor attended Pacifica Graduate Institute for a master degree in Psychology. Our program requires in depth research in areas of mythology, literature, and art history. Mythology and literature class had strong and equal art historical component to the class.

Research classes were conducted in pre historic art. The work of Maria Gimbutas was closely studied. The visual symbols throughout civilization were collected by Carl Jung.

In fact, our school houses library of Art and Psychological research of Gimbutas and Jung. .
Therefore it is my opinion that Ms Taylor has earned at least 21 credits in art history, mythology and literature during her study at Pacifica Graduate Institute.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Young

To whom it may concern:

Leah is a very promising artist. I have witnessed her clear commitment to creative growth throughout the years. She is an artist who crosses the disciplines of drawing, painting, sculpture, installation and performance art, and who embraces a multicultural and multilingual approach both in her teaching and her creative methods. Her work augments her charismatic teaching, just as her teaching embraces her studio work. She has been a dynamic and highly contributing member to any community she has worked within. She is terrific with teenagers and young adults. I strongly recommend her as a teacher on your faculty.

Sincerely,

Elinor Gadon

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Elinor Gadon. I am an art historian and the founder and creator of California
Institute of Integral Studies PHD program in Women's studies. Leah was a student of our
program. We allowed artists in our academic program to integrate art and academia.
In her Archeomythology classes 1 & 2 students were expected to study art historical
instruction in Prehistory through the visual study of Maria Gimbutas work.
In her World Civilization class we explored world history through religious visual
iconography.
She has done the equivalent of 21 units of graduate art history credits during her PHD
coursework at CIIS.
Leah will be an excellent, enthusiastic, professor of Art History on your faculty.

Sincerely,

Elinor Gadon
